problem in amd64) I also believe that vsftpd package may not be a cause of this
bug. But definitely this is a bug in debian system as whole. I am very much new

I used the default configuration file from below debian repository.
http://ftp.jp.debian.org/debian/pool/main/v/vsftpd/vsftpd_2.3.5.orig.tar.gz
and replaced existing vsftpd config file.
suren@surendhar:~$ ftp localhost
ftp: connect to address ::1: Connection refused
