I think it means your /dev/sda has GPT partition table suitable for
UEFI, but it does not contain a fake msdos partition table for BIOS.

parted says:

However, it does not have a valid fake msdos partition table, as it
should. Perhaps it was corrupted.

partman doesn't show up the GPT partitions installed Windows 8.1 and thus I
cannot install Debian amend the Windows partition.
Although /dev/sda lists /dev/sda{1,2}, partman in d-i doesn't list the
partitions and free space, only the drive itself.
