Jérémy,
ruby-mysql2 and ruby-mysql do not appear to provide the same
interfaces; as you have noticed Rails ships a seperate 'mysql2'
adapter for users wishing to use ruby-mysql2.
If you have redmine default to the 'mysql' adapter, please make sure
ruby-mysql is first in the Depends line of redmin
When using ruby-mysql2, the adapter name in
/etc/redmine//database.yml
must be 'mysql2'.
The only way to fix this is to ask the user which
adapter he intends to use...
If ruby-mysql2 can replace ruby-mysql, why not
provide the same adapter name and make those packages not
co-installable ?
Jérémy.
