Thanks for the patch and report.
I forwarded this patch to upstream, they accepted it.
When they release new version it will get into unstable.
I will investigate if is possible to get that package into Wheezy. I can
not promise neither date nor that it will happen at all.

Debian servers.
When registering a Debian Wheezy machine I experienced the bug 703582.
According to the hint in the bug report I was able to identify the reason for
the problem.
