Note that the Tools menu had an "import from Text File" for a very long
time, so one would have thought that Gnumeric users would look there too
for export.
By the way, if you check the documentation of the File Menu in the Menus
section of the Gnumeric Manual , you find:
"Save As... — The Save As... menu item allows users to save a file which
has not yet been named to a named file. This is always used when a user
saves a file which Gnumeric has named
