I'm using always the first two DVDs (weekly-images) to update my PC
without broadband Internet access.
1. /etc/apt/sources.list contains two DVD entries.
2. I'm removing these entries (to add 2 updated DVDs).

root@debian:# ls -l /var/lib/apt/cdroms.list*
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 53
Version: 0.9.6
I confirmed that this bug is not simply a result of #674100. apt 0.9.6
still leaves a cdroms.list~ behind and eventually breaks.
