Thanks for the report.
I've been working to upload a new version of OGRE including this fix,
but it turns out that a problem with OIS prevents OGRE from building
the samples, so the fix to this one will have to wait for a bit.
Marking this bug as blocked.

The CPPFLAGS hardening flags are missing because CMake ignores
them by default.
The following patch fixes the issue by adding them to
