The file you sent is working for me.
I had a look inside /usr/lib/mc/extfs.d/uzip and there are
"my $op_has_zipinfo = 1;" - I didn't have to change it.
I run 'md5sum' against it:
f3a19a46f827c01340ea3dfec507c271 /usr/lib/mc/extfs.d/uzip

I got it, I think you helped to discover an important issue - this file
generates on build time according to available (on build time) zip
alternatives.
I have a locally builded version, that's why the is a difference.
I will resolve this issue in next relea

I believe for ZIP-browsing functionality mc relies on 'unzip' package which
provides '/usr/bin/unzip' executable.
However when I remove '/usr/bin/unzip' mc gives an error message.
