FYI:
I just upgraded a fresh instalation of redmine and redmine-mysql
from version 1.1.2-2~bpo60+1 to 1.4.4+dfsg1-1.1 from wheezy.
I had to add the following additional packages from wheezy
which are currently not available via backports.
bundler_1.1.4-6_all.deb
ruby-coderay_1.0.6-2_all.deb
ruby
of course i'm okay !

Note that this backport depends on the rails 2.3 backport, which is
pending in #657813.
As far as i can see, the backport has been accomplished.
