Package: emacs23 Version: 23.3+1-4 Followup-For: Bug #651051 Alright, after a restart the bug is gone. I did do a suspend-to-disk before the problem showed up (usually I only do suspend-to-ram). Maybe the graphics HW and/or X got wedged? I believe I saw similar behaviour in other older X-client
