I wonder if this problem I am seeing is the same one. I am running Ubuntu 12.04 with LUKS encryption and ext4 partitions under LVM. After doing "resize2fs -M /dev/xxx; resize2fs /dev/xxx" (where xxx is an ext4 partition under LVM), I can get e4defrag consistently to generate a kernel pani
