Oops, I missed the merge with #654781. I was also able to make the
hangs go away by using a variation on the workaround there: editing
/usr/lib/iceweasel/iceweasel to make its second line be "unset
LD_LIBRARY_PATH". After that, things are fine even with the Shockwave
Flash plug-in enabled.
I've also been running into this with every Iceweasel version since 8.0,
upwards to the 10.0.1 I'm running today. I'm seeing the same freeze in
futex calls already reported by Luc Maisonobe. Never had this class of
issue running the stock Debian Iceweasel in Squeeze, always had it on
every sy

I have tried to do a "strace - p " while iceweasel hanged. It
blocked for several seconds, and then displayed a bunch of lines, then
blocked again several seconds, then displayed a bun of lines and so on.
Each time it blocked, it was on a futex call. Here is an example of the

Hello,
I confirm the same freeze occurs here, also since around christmas.
Looking into xsessions-errors, I get different messages. The one that

Iceweasel regularly hangs while loading pages. Many pages show the
symptoms, though never regularly. I haven't determined if some do and
some don't. It could also be that some advertisments that are being
randomly served influence the issue.
