Found this bug and fixed it:
debdiff ../openldap_2.4.23-7.2.dsc ../openldap_2.4.23-7.3.dsc >
../postinst-spacesinpassword
I tested it and now spaces are allowed during the configuration stage of
the install.

This may have been caused by using a password that contains spaces. The reason
for this is that the slapd's config file contains a function to generate the
password hash:
create_password_hash() {# {{{
# Create the password hash for the given pass

Trying to install slapd results in a post-installation configure
failure. Apparently the post-installation script is using wrong options
