About the bug, I can confirm that the failure is not deterministic and it can
be related to one or more of the improvements recommended by powertop, that
are now included with "pm-tools" package, but no-doubt, the problem is in the
kernel drm code.

I've also came across this crash. I identified quite well that it was being
triggered by sid powertop (1.97-1), ie this doesn't happen when using squeeze
powertop. I suspect it's somehow related to "Runtime PM for PCI Device "
options.
According to the backtrace, it's a kernel
