I can only understand this as a Policy violation, and have raised
severity accordingly: Please either patch to use Free alternatives, or
move the package to contrib.

First of all, thanks for your comment.
I will contact the upstream developers ASAP and see if they would like
to make this change themselves (which I believe they'll have no problem)
and pass the changes in the package.
