Colin,
I accidentally stripped the CRYPT_SALT_LENGTH in the Debian patch.
Anyway the constant doesn't really make sense, because the SALT length
differs from algorithm to algorithm and Debian always includes all
algorithms:

Raphael, it looks like it is related to my patch. I'll look at itas soon as I
get to normal computer (iPhone really isn't a hacker tool ;-) and it should be
fairly easy to fix (I'll use max value).
I guess we should have some bugsquashing party soon...ish.
