I was wondering why it is so common to have this useless configuration
setting in named.conf, and it seems that a lot of people are copying
Debian's named.conf.
I have dug through the history, and it looks like,
Debian got this config setting, including the comment, from an early
version of the B

In the default named.conf.options you set auth-nxdomain no.
It seems that this is the default now anyways and it can be removed :)
