Yes, these are related (input charset), but I don't think we should
merge them since depending on the library being used, just 273002, or
even 596870 would happe

It seems that new upstream version of libedit could manage utf8 char
converted to wchar_t but unfortunalty not to utf8. We are trying to
find a way to convert wchar_t flow to utf8
