Marco, sorry for my insistence but I think the "/etc/init.d/networking restart" must provide the "restart" function. Then, for me, restart is "all interfaces down", "all interfaces up". Make it by hand is a throwback when others distributions have and keep this feature. Am i wrong? Regards, Erib
