I've added -e to the jed manpage so at least that is a bit more discovereable.
And yes if someone wrote a jedrc.5 manpage that would be helpful.
I think I'll leave this bug open for now as there is plenty of room
for making the docs better. If I update the docs further I might
decide that enough
JED's emulation mode can be set in /etc/jed.d/*.sl, ~/.jed/jed.rc
or via the command line option -e.
/usr/share/doc/jed/examples provides example files for the first two options.
* replace the standard emulations 'emacs', 'ide', 'cua', ... with 'vi'
