Okay, I have just tried version 3.2h and it compiles (and works) like
a charm. It only contains very minor changes so packaging it is pretty
straight forward. Please do so to fix this bug.

The changelog for version 3.2h says "Worked around block layer
interface breakage on linux-2.6.32-rc kernels.", so I would say
there's a good chance that this is fixed in that release. I'll test it
as soon as I have some spare time, feel free to try it yourself in the
meantime.
