I've prepared a NMU and just made the upload to the delayed queue, the
package will be uploaded automatically in 7 days.

Here a debdiff for the new upstream release. I makes quite some changes
to the package.
The documentation has been moved out of this source package so I've
dropped the -doc package. With the source version 3.0 it's possible to
have multiple tarballs, so it could be
