Package: linux-2.6 Version: 2.6.18-6-k7 I have difficulty in making an Oops trace. I have upgraded the kernel to linux-image2.6.18-6-k7 , along with the other upgrades from security.debian.org for Etch. I told the computer to switch itself off, it did so. I switched it on, dialled into 0845 60401
