I can confirm that this is not amd64 specific. I am running 32-bit on a pentium-4 2.4GHz. It is also not specific to the Etch install CDs, because I did not use them. I installed with Sarge, upgraded to Etch, then tried to upgrade to Sid. Unfortunetely I suffered a hard drive crash yesterday so
