I just tried an older version (21.4.20-1), and get the same problems.
So it seems like this was triggered by some other update (like libc),
since I'm pretty sure the problem only occurred the last few months...

xemacs randomly, but reliably crashes after a few minutes. Since the
action triggering this is pretty much random (resizing the window,
scrolling in a file, ...), it seems to be a GC problem. Backt
