This bug is irritating, but it does not make the package unusable--you
can configure X to start in your desired resolution without relying on
the correct operation of EDID probing. Nor does this bug make the
package unusable for all users.
I
Package: nvidia-kernel-source
Version: 169.07-2
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Which somehow causes X11 to run in a 640x480 mode making it completely
unusable
