However, it also disabled the ability to click on any http:// link and
have it open in x-www-browser. I was able to remedy this via leaving the:

My suspicion is that this bug is caused by some change in icedove, not
iceowl: I have seen the same behaviour on icedove with the upstream
lightning extension, while lightning with upstream

in my case http: .ics files open with konqueror. (I'm using kde.)

The .ics files via WebDAV are not in any way affected
and are correctly shown in Iceowl.
Only calendars starting with http:// get opened in
Epiphany. These calendars are not seen in Epiphany
