Here's a patch from my local copy. I currently have some problems testing
it as my local copy has some irrelevant other changes I need to clean up.
Ok, this also seems to work (on my Debian 4.0) :
apt-get remove --purge zaptel-modules zaptel zaptel-source
rm /usr/src/za

Hello,
there is no debian/compat file in zaptel.tar.bz2. And if it's missing,
module assistant produces deb package without kernel modules inside.
