yes, I will release version 1.4.6 any day now. I have to update the
newdevices patch of binutils first though, because currently it has
the wrong architecture for at90usb82, preventing avr-libc from
compiling.

Well, you're right... avr-gcc is not updated yet.
gcc 4.1.1 will support the new devices as soon as the newdevices patch
is applied. I marked the bug "blocked by" the related avr-gcc "bug".
