I´m Filipe from the debian pkg-ruby-extras team, and we also have a package for
daemons.
I created the package around the same date that you and I haven´t noticed your
ITP.
One issue with daemons is that it can replace the package libdaemonize-ruby,
because daemons includes daemonize.rb.
