I haven't received any mail from debian BTS (maybe I should check my
spam folder)
I don't know whether I have apps dh_iconcache
But from time to time I generate icon cache with gtk-update-icon-cache
And now it's all ok with GPM

As far as i know, gpm uses it own icons, it should not depend on any
icon theme.
do you have installed something that uses dh_iconcache?
