I found this patch in Fedora, and the description in this bug made me
believe it might be related. This patch was included in version
2.86.ds1-40 currently in experimental. Can you test this version and
let me know if it solve the problem?

This bug report do not include enough information for me to have any
idea what the problem is, how to reproduce it nor how to fix it, if
there is anything to fix.
Please provide more info on why you believe this is a bug in sysvinit,
or how to reproduce it.
