the alternative for wx.pth points to a non-existant location:
$ ls -la /usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/wx.pth
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 24 2006-04-19 19:35
/usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/wx.pth -> /etc/alternatives/wx.pth
$ ls -la /e
2 matches
