After an upgrade to xorg 1:7.0.12, I was left with one file in /usr/X11R6/bin: xearth. I subsequently discovered that xearth is "non-free". Possibly you missed all the non-free package conflicts? So I removed xearth, and /usr/X11R6/bin went away. X wouldn't start because nothing could now be f
