Sorry yes, this was an obvious update to the original bug report.
I guess I didn't think it through carefully enough.
I've removed all the '$Id:' flags from each of the configuration
files now, and that will be included in the next release.
Sorry for not thinking of this earlier.

Actually, I get the pain for *all* files, including
/etc/xen-tools/hook.d/*.
Would it be possible to see the same fix for the other files?
