the problem.
As it turned out, the cause was perl-tk (or in last resort the X-Server)
not finding the rgb.txt file, causing this nasty error.

thanks for trying this on Ubuntu 8.04.
It turned out, that upgrading to Debian's perl-tk would require an entire perl
upgrade of my Ubuntu installation, which I can happily skip now ;)

Interesting bug. I just installed clusterssh_3.21-2 on Ubuntu 8.04 and
am not experiencing the issue. This should rule out dependencies and
library versions. Running cssh -dD looks very similar to the debug
output provided, except that the unknown keycode values are different.
