Hmm, indeed. I'll investigate this, thanks for the report!
In the meantime, setting `nxml-char-ref-display-glyph-flag' to nil will
avoid the bug.

I found out that displaying the entity in nxml-mode causes
Emacs-snapshot to freeze. This can be reproduced easily by opening an XML
document, pressing C-c C-u to insert a Unicode
