Actually, Debian has never had more than one version of htdig in the
archive. This was 3.1 until my recent upload, which replaced it with
3.2b6. The 3.1 package was hopelessly uninstallable and RC buggy - the
official count didn't take into consideration bugs (like #334698) which
weren't l
Bad move.
Debian uses a separate package for the 3.2 and 3.1 versions due to large
performance difference (3.2 does more, but is much more resource
hungry). Please reopen and mark wontfix.

the very same bug is reported in ubuntu, see [1]. The reporter says, that the
issue is fixed with upstream's 3.2.0b6, so I closed the bug in ubuntu.
