Hi,
this is documented behaviour, and the 'filetest' pragma is a solution
for this. See 'perldoc -f -x' and 'perldoc filetest'.

"Error in tempdir() using /tmp/cdbuffer/tmp/XX: Parent directory
(/tmp/cdbuffer/tmp) is not writable"
However filesystem supports POSIX ACLs and appropriate permissions are set.
