I have compiled my own Perl (5.10.0-16) from debian sources, and just added
the -Duse64bitint flag (_not_ -Duse64bitall). This adds support for native

Package: perl
Version: 5.8.4-8
Severity: normal

use64bitint=undef use64bitall=undef uselongdouble=undef

support. I can use it in C/C++, why not in perl?
