thank you for the hint about libatk. I completely forgot about that
in my mind. I'll wait for Sarge being released and then ask the GNOME
maintainers about their thoughts regarding this library.

Gtkmm 2.6.x requires libatk 1.9.x/1.10.x, which is only in experimental at
this time.
