Hi,
Can you try adding "scope link" to ip address add? Also, it might be
worth it to try "label eth0:1" (for example), so one can ifconfig the
(virtual) device.
Note that I'm not a user of zeroconf - in fact I'm not familiar _at all_
with it. Just trying to help.
