Came across that problem as well today. From a little probing - I did
not check the sources, though - it seems xfsdump is pretty pedantic
about that path. I guess it must exactly match the specification

any directory I specify to back up does not identify a file system. A zero (0)
length bbackup output file is created "/ext_backup/cirlnx01/pdoxdata" by the
