I have a similar phenomenon on a system S of mine:
For user A, The "logout" panel button or menu item results appears to
do nothing, but after a wait of 90..120 seconds the "Are you sure you
want to log out" dialog finally appears. This may possibly be
connected to the splash image not disapp
Hello. I can't seem to reproduce the problem today. Yesterday it came
everytime time I tried to logout. I send more info if the problem
occurs again.

(gdm). I can confirm logout but after that nothing happens. Only option
to close gnome and return to gdm is to push ctrl+alt+backspace
