finally got time to review this.
The file deletion bug has been fixed in versions >= 0.72-6.
Now to the copy stuff. The default semantic of copy is to not
preserve any attributes of the source file. This is intential and
not a defect.

When copying a file with the context menu's "Copy" and "Paste" functions,
the date and time of the original file is lost and replaced with the date
and time at which copying took place.
