On my system I installed a PCI card with 2 more IDE channels (MAGNEX
Ultra DMA Controller) to be used for Software RAID purposes.
Linux Kernel then sees these block devices:
/dev/hd[a-d] -> Magnex controller
/dev/hd[e-h] -> onboard SATA channel
/dev/hd[i-l] ->
