Bug#298285: I can't launch firefox and thunderbird while gconfd-2 is running

I've noticed that, while gconfd-2 is running, thunderbird isn't launched correctly (the proccess is created but I can see no window). In this situation i can't launch firefox either. If I kill all gconfd-2 proccess I can get firefox and thunderbird running simultaneously. Regards Manolo -- To
