About 2 years ago, you reported a bug to the Debian BTS regarding the
XFree86 being unable to move the log file when executed by non-root
users. The behavior seems to be fixed in Xorg nowadays (apart from some
special command line options, as detailed in the BTS later). Did you
reproduce this

'Cannot move old logfile "/var/log/XFree86.0.log.old"', even after
