Bug#273293: Further information

2005-06-19 Thread Karl Schmidt
At the very least the information in the error message is wrong "PnPBIOS: You may need to reboot with the "nobiospnp" option to operate stably" Should read: "PnPBIOS: You may need to reboot with the "pnpbios=off" option to operate stably" The 'nobiospnp' keyword is not recognized any more.

It goes away with kernel option "pnpbios=off" - but I don't know at what cost? (no PNP changes exactly what in the end?) I wish someone could tell me if this is a kernel or BIOS bug? This is a Tyan Tiger S2875 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trou
