Bug#192008: dependencies from libtool and pkg-config files

Hello, I have to say I was a bit surprised not to find a way to generate dependencies from pkg-config files. Is this still (11 years later) unfit for debhelper ? If not, I think it would make a very good lintian check. What do you think ? Should we reassign this bug to lintian ? Cheers, Bertrand
